During the churning of the Ksheerasagar, the Lord sought to rescue the Devas from their plight. It was at this moment that Shwetha Lakshmi manifested and selected Vishnu as her consort. Consequently, all adversities vanished, and harmony was restored, leading to a state of perpetual happiness. This event is commemorated during the Varamahalakshmi festival herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Somanahalli.
Bengaluru, August 14: Varamahalakshmi festival and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai’s birth anniversary was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra- Somanahalli.The program started by Deepa Prajwalane and laying flowers on the portrait of Varamahalakshmi and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai.Students provided details regarding the birth of Lakshmi and offered a concise overview of the biography of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of Indian space science. Subsequently, they adorned themselves as Ashtalakshmi and presented a dance performance, accompanied by a song dedicated to Lakshmi.At the end of the program, Arishina-Kumkuma was given to the Muttaide.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 14: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಸೋಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಹಬ್ಬ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ ಸಾರಾಭಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ದೀಪ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ ಸಾರಾಬಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯ ಜನನದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಹ್ಯಕಾಶ ಪಿತಾಮಹ ಡಾ. ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಸಾರಾಭಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಕಿರುಪರಿಚಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅಷ್ಟಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯರ ವೇಷವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ನೃತ್ಯಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುತ್ತೈದೆಯರಿಗೆ ಅರಿಶಿನ – ಕುಂಕುಮವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
