Bengaluru, Mar. 18: Yugadi and Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar’s jayanti were celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Somanahalli. Yugadi was started with a puja and blessings were sought for the new year. Yugadi Pachadi and its six flavours reflecting the six emotions of life were explained.

RVK – Somanahalli Celebrates Festival of Colour – Holi
Bengaluru, Mar. 4: Holi was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Somanahalli. The programme began by explaining the significance of Holi and the story of Prahlada and Holika, which symbolises the victory of good over evil. The students were reminded of the funny traditions associated with Krishna. A Kamadahana was performed, symbolising the burning of negative thoughts and evil forces.

Bengaluru, Feb. 25: Students of classes VI and VII of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Somanahalli visited the Bengaluru Science Gallery along with their teachers. During the educational and interactive tour, the students learnt about the importance of food, the effort farmers put in to grow it and why food should never be wasted.
Srijanotsava: A Showcase of Innovation and Creativity at RVK-Somanahalli
Bengaluru, Feb. 21: A creative exhibition called Srijanotsava was organised herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Somanahalli.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest, Sri S. M. Srinivasan, former Group Director, Power Systems, UR Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO, Bengaluru. The chief guest appreciated the creativity, innovation and efforts of the students in presenting their models and projects.
