Bengaluru, June 27: Children from Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Somanahalli Gokulam went on a field trip to the Harohalli Sri Arunachaleswara Swamy Temple in Karnataka.
As the children entered the temple premises, they sang bhajans, recited shlokas and chanted “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times.
The temple priest blessed all the children and performed a special Archana in the name of the school’s RVK -Somanahalli. The students received prasad from the priest.
Apart from Lord Arunachaleswara, the temple also has shrines of many other deities like Lord Venkateswara, Lakshmi Devi and Ananthapadmanabha Swamy. The children had darshan of the deities in the temple premises. They visited the area where the 12 Jyotirlingas are worshipped, which made them understand the significance of these sacred forms of Lord Shiva.
The priests gave prasadam to everyone, and recited more verses and taught the children how to pronounce and understand their meanings.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂ. 27: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಸೋಮನಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಗೋಕುಲಂ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹಾರೋಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಅರುಣಾಚಲೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಆವರಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಭಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿ, ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸಿ “ಓಂ ನಮಃ ಶಿವಾಯ” ಎಂದು 108 ಬಾರಿ ಪಠಿಸಿದರು.
ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅರ್ಚಕರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ, ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆರ್‌ವಿಕೆಎಸ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅರ್ಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅರ್ಚಕರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.
ಭಗವಾನ್ ಅರುಣಾಚಲೇಶ್ವರನಲ್ಲದೆ, ದೇವಾಲಯವು ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ವರ, ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ದೇವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅನಂತಪದ್ಮನಾಭ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯಂತಹ ಅನೇಕ ಇತರ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ಅವರು 12 ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಲಿಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು, ಇದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶಿವನ ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ರೂಪಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
ಪುರೋಹಿತರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು, ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕಲಿಸಿದರು.
ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗುಂಪು ಫೋಟೋ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.
